Foil Stamping - Personalized Gift Method

Foil Stamping is one of several personalized gift methods, used by RLC on our personlized leather products. Foil stamping is always a favorite, due to the elegance and high visual impact that it can provide. Foil stamping can be used to add flair to our products like business card cases, note jotters, leather wallets, office desk accessories, and a whole host of professional & personal items.

Foil Stamping is very similar to the Debossing method. Actually, Foil Stamping is Debossing with just an extra step. Foil Stamping includes rolling a sheet of foil in between the hot metal plate described in our Debossing method and the product. Therefore, when the heated metal is pressed into the leather product, an impression is left and the foil color is left inside this "impression" in the leather.

So (blind) Debossing leaves an imprint but no color and foil stamping allows a contrast in color between the leather product and the imprint. As seen in the image, one note jotter is shown with gold foil and the other has black color foil. The Gold Foil is by far the most poopular choice by our customers.
